Bending Moment & Shear Force Calculator for moment at a point on span of simply supported beam

This calculator provides the result for bending moment (Mx) and shear force (Fx) at a distance "x" from the left support A of a simply supported beam carrying a concentrated moment 'M' at point C on span. It also calculates support reactions and maximum bending moment (Max B.M.) value as well as its distance from A. Typical shear force and bending moment diagrams are plotted here for a clockwise moment 'M'. The bending moment on just-left of point C will be Ma/L and on the just-right of point C it will be Mb/L. If the moment is anti-clockwise, these diagrams would be reversed. Bending moment will be zero at the support points A and B.

Please refer to the figure and enter the values of moment and distances in the form given below and then press "Calculate". Enter the clockwise moment as negative and anti-clockwise as positive. The calculator will give two values of bending moment at the the section of applied moment 'M'; Mc-Left on the just-left of the section and Mc-Right on the just-right of the section.
